The organizers of IEEE AUTOTESTCON and IEEE regrettably take this action due to the COVID-19 pandemic, specifically because: (i) the World Health Organization has declared COVID-19 to be a pandemic; (ii) the United States government has declared a national emergency; (iii) the US Centers for Disease Control has urged that gatherings of 50 or more be halted, with the U.S. President recommending to avoid gatherings; (iv) government imposed travel bans are in place in North America, Europe, and Asia; and (v) numerous other national, state and local governments have their own bans and limitations on travel, public gatherings and eat-in public restaurants, specifically the State of Maryland has imposed restrictions on public gatherings exceeding 250 persons and has just initiated (as of March 30) astay-at-home order unless engaged in critical services.
The rapid spread of this virus, given the above, will clearly prevent us from having any sort of successful conference at this time. We encourage all of our previous attendees, authors and exhibitors to stay safe, avoid any sort of gathering and put proper sanitization efforts in place.
